Bizarre Coincidences That Will Blow Your Mind!

Coincidences... They are fantastic is some respects, horrifying in others and leave us with many existential questions that we are light-years away from solving. Nevertheless, today I wanted to write a post on some very bizarre coincidences that sent chills up my spine...

★ The Set of Separated Twins with Near-Identical Lives

A set of twin boys originally born in Ohio, USA were separated at birth and had no knowledge of one-another. Despite this they had some very coincidentally similar aspects of their lives... When adopted to different families who also had no knowledge of each other, they were both named James. Both boys grew up to become police officers and both had married a woman called Linda... But the coincidences keep on coming! Each twin had a son named James Allan (the other being spelled James Alan), and both had a dog by the name of Toy. When both twins eventually got divorced, they remarried again to women called Betty.

★ Founding Fathers Final Words

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, most famous for being some of the Founding Fathers were both undeniably close friends and just happened to pass away on the same day, which was July 4th 1826 - the 50th Anniversary of the American independence, an event that both men had a central role in. Around 6:00pm that day, John Adams was completely unaware that his friend and fellow Founding Father had passed away that afternoon, yet spoke these final words before himself, passing away, "Thomas Jefferson survives".

★ Doppelgängers Do Exist!

They say there is only a 9% chance you will ever meet your Doppelgänger, but Neil Thomas Douglas got lucky... Back in 2015, photographer Neil Douglas boarded his flight to Galway, not expecting to find another man sitting in his seat. When he approached the man, he was taken back to his uncanny resemblance to himself, so much so that they took a photo together which quickly went viral online. Once the men left the plane to go about their trip, Neil booked into a hotel, headed down to the local pub and bumped into the man again who was also staying at his hotel and was enjoying a drink in the same pub!

★ The Hoover Dam Mystery...

During the lengthy and dangerous construction of the Hoover Dam project, sadly 112 dedicated workers lost their lives. The first man to die was J. G. Tierney on December 20th 1922, he drowned while scouting for a location to begin building the dam. The last man to die passed away exactly 13 years later on December 20th 1935. This was the death of Patrick Tierney, which was J. G. Tierney's son. He fell to his death after stumbling over an intake tower at the Hoover Dam site.

★ Baby Déjà Vu...

In the 1930's, Joseph Figlock lived in Detroit, USA and had a very mysterious event happen to him... One day on a walk around his hometown, he saved a falling baby which fell from a high window of a house. The baby was completely unharmed as Joseph was able to catch them in time. Just a year later, walking down the same street, the same baby fell from the very same window, this time hitting Figlock before being caught once more, leaving both baffled but unharmed.

★ A Beloved Book Finds Its Way Home

In the 1920's, American Novelist Anne Parrish found one of her childhood favourite books 'Jack Frost and Other Stories' whilst taking a look around a secondhand book store in Paris, France. She handed the book to her husband and spoke of how fond she was of it as a child. Upon opening the book, her husband spotted a message that read "Anne Parrish, 209 N. Weber Street, Colorado Springs". It was the exact copy of the book that previously belonged to her many years ago.
