His love of bears started at a young age, with fond memories of having them as a child to comfort him as he slept. A bear that struck a chord with Ben was beloved teddy, "Bobbie Bear", a large brown bear whom he was given at the age of three. Now an adult, Ben has continued following his love of bears by occasionally dressing up in a large teddy bear costume online, to fans who watch his dance video uploads.

The appeal to Ben's unique style is just that. As there is little competition online of dancing mascots, it seems that Benny is the first of its kind, and strives for success by making people laugh, as well as doing what he loves most. Despite his age, Ben states that "once (a) Benny Bear, always (a) Benny Bear" when asked if he would ever give up the character, which makes his perseverance and online presence even more endearing. Friends and co-workers seem supportive of his decision, particularly as they often ask about his loveable character, so much so that Ben did arrive at a after-work party one day in his faithful costume, to their delight. Although some feedback can be negative and controversial, Ben does not let this deter him, saying that he "doesn't do it for the haters," inspiring many more people to face the challenge of doing what you love regardless of what others think!
Even though Ben has a small fan-base at the moment, I can see his content going viral, particularly on video-sharing sites where unique videos like this thrive. So, if you are looking for some light-hearted fun, you can count on Benny to lift spirits, one smile at a time.
